Clubs & Extracurricular Activities

The following clubs are available for students. Each listing includes grade eligibility, focus areas, and sponsor information.

Chess Club

Students meet regularly to play chess, learn strategies, and participate in friendly competition.

• Grades: 3rd through 5th grade
• Focus: Critical thinking, problem-solving, sportsmanship

Good News Club

Students participate in weekly meetings that include Bible lessons, songs, games, and scripture memory activities.

• Grades: Kindergarten through 5th grade
• Focus: Character development, moral values, faith-based learning

Math Bowl Team

Students qualify through a test, and top scorers represent the school in Math Bowl competitions.

• Grades: 4th through 5th grade
• Focus: Advanced problem-solving, mathematical reasoning, teamwork

Minter Mentors

Students visit lower-grade classrooms before school to serve as role models, reading buddies, and mentors, helping build a positive school community.

Morning Announcements

Students plan and deliver daily announcements while developing public speaking and video production skills.

Running Club

Students participate in running activities, build endurance, and practice proper techniques through active workouts.

The Minter Majestics

Students rehearse weekly and perform a spring production.

• Grades: 4th through 5th grade
• Focus: Musical skills, teamwork, and performance confidence

Safety Patrol

Students help maintain a safe and orderly school environment by raising and lowering the flag and monitoring hallways during arrival and dismissal.

• Grades: 4th through 5th grade
• Focus: Responsibility, leadership, school safety awareness

Science Olympiad

Students work in teams to explore science topics through hands-on investigations and competitive events aligned with the Georgia Elementary Science Olympiad.

• Focus: Critical thinking, teamwork, inquiry-based learning

Student Ambassadors

Students serve as ambassadors for the school by assisting visitors, escorting adults to meetings, and guiding families at events. They also support activities such as New Student Orientation, Veterans Day, Graduation, Candy Grams, the Milestones Pep Rally, and the 5th Grade Career Fair.
