Dear Minter Families,

It is with great joy and gratitude that I begin my sixth year as the proud Principal of Sara Harp Minter Elementary School. It continues to be an incredible honor to serve this exceptional community where we work together to educate, equip, and inspire students to become respectful, responsible, and safe leaders.

With over 25 years in education, including more than a decade of leadership experience in Fayette County, I am excited for another PAWSOME year as a Minter Mountain Lion! Before becoming Principal, I served as Assistant Principal at both Fayetteville Elementary School and Peachtree City Elementary School. My educational journey has also included roles as a math and literacy instructional coach and 12 years as a special education teacher. I began my career teaching third grade at a small charter school and spent my early years teaching in Florida before moving to Georgia in 2007. I am a proud graduate of the University of Florida, the University of West Georgia, and the University of Georgia, where I earned my Doctorate in Educational Leadership.

As Principal, I remain deeply committed to fostering a nurturing and positive environment where every student can thrive, every staff member feels supported, and every family is valued as a partner in learning. I believe strong relationships are the foundation of a successful school community, and I am dedicated to building meaningful connections that help each child reach their fullest potential.

Minter has a long-standing tradition of excellence, and I am honored to continue leading a school where high expectations, innovation, and a student-centered approach guide our work each day. Together, we will continue to create engaging learning experiences, celebrate achievements, and ensure every child feels safe, supported, and inspired to learn.

Dear Minter Families,

As we begin a new school year, I am filled with gratitude and excitement to continue serving as the Assistant Principal of Sara Harp Minter Elementary School. I have truly enjoyed becoming part of this incredible community and building meaningful relationships with our students, families, and staff. It has been a privilege to witness the kindness, dedication, and spirit that make Minter such a special place.

Before joining Minter, I served as an interrelated special education teacher in both Fayette County and Henry County. I also taught third through fifth grades in Christian County Schools in Kentucky. Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to support students with diverse learning needs while partnering closely with families and colleagues to help every child grow and succeed. These experiences have strengthened my belief in the power of strong relationships, inclusive practices, and the idea that every child has unique strengths and unlimited potential.

My experiences as a mentor teacher, instructional collaborator, and school leader continue to shape my work each day. As a parent, educator, and lifelong learner, I understand the importance of creating a school environment where every student feels valued, supported, and inspired to reach their fullest potential.

Over the past year, I have been grateful for the opportunity to learn from our students, collaborate with our outstanding staff, and partner with our families. I look forward to building on that foundation as we continue fostering a joyful, safe, and engaging school culture where students are encouraged to lead with character, curiosity, and confidence.
